It comes with 11 height adjustments to accommodate almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's at the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and comes with mesh sides for increased ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also able to be cleaned so that you can keep it clean, and it is fitted with a sheet that is suitable for the cot.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to the bed. It's packed with features designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, so you'll need to invest in a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she was particularly impressed by its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was an affordable price for a cot featuring these advanced features. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour is a good fit for modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can create a bad sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lifted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or forcing them out of bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It's also light and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.

We love that it's constructed of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. It's available in charcoal and oak and has a variety of melange fabrics that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure baby safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer service number should you encounter any issues.

travel cot bedside  is one of the more expensive options, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one push of a button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night, as it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not recommended because it increases the chance that your child will fall out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will remain in place when it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feeds.

Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It has a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as an option to rock to calm them after a feeding. It's also incredibly spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers however, it is easily moved from one room to another. It's small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus when you have to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel didn't move as much as other models.  travel cot bedside  made it a little harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're looking for a crib for your bed that will grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It is designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed but also convert into a chic cot when your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding at night and growing your bond with your newborn.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby at night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to start. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only issue with the instructions was that certain pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. However, it was a simple procedure and the quality of materials employed was of a high standard.

In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their infant for comfort and feeding without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the difficulty of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down for a nap.

In our tests we observed the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be extremely beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night this was a huge benefit for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock or come with extra features like a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
